This is an old-style Swati Shawl in very fine condition, tracing back to the valley of Swat, Pakistan. Swat is a mountainous region in Pakistan, which is famous for decorative antiques and prominent gemstone mines.
Typically these shawls were worn by upper-class women of Khan Family decent over the shoulders or head or wrapped around a baby.
