Tuareg Green and Black Ceramic Vase

$1,300.00

This stunning pitcher hails from the base of the Atlas Mountains and dates from the late 19th century. A prized possession of the itinerant Tuareg people, this item was used to store water and other liquids. The surface is patinated with black and green glazing, giving it an almost oxidized appearance. This pitcher is adorned with interwoven strips of hand hammered decorative metal strapping and studding, adding to the unique and dynamic appearance. This special and exotic piece is beautiful as an object, and would also function well electrified into a lamp. We are happy to assist with having this wired at an additional cost.
