Cairo Stripe calls to mind old-fashioned ticking, but with an imaginative twist. The next time you are at the Cairo Museum seek out the renowned statues of Prince Rahotep and his stately wife, Nofret – masterpieces of the Old Kingdom (c.2550 B.C.). Note the painted stripes encircling Nofret’s neck that are meant to convey bejeweled necklaces. Cairo Stripe is printed in Switzerland on 100% Belgian linen.
