“Schweizer Segelschule Thunersee” Otto Baumberger

Beginning in 1911, Zurich’s talented artist, Otto Baumberger, paved the way for Swiss Object, Design, and Travel posters during the rise of Swiss graphic design in the 20th Century.
This original vintage poster (c. 1936) was created for the Sailing School on Lake Thun, located in Switzerland’s Bernese Oberland.
This sailing school still exists today. Two sailboats sweep downwind under crystal clear blue skies. Printed beautifully, the poster’s are remarkably deep and rich.
