Green Synagogue Candle Vase

This is an exceptional example of 19th century Morrocan Judaica. Originally used as a Synagogue lantern, this piece has six candle holders on the body, and a pentagonal picture window into the interior to allow for a seventh candle. The triangular cutouts near the neck of the vase cast beautiful shadows once lit. The green glazing is beautifully patinated, expressing the soul and history of this truly special piece.
